Before the second concert of her 'Made In Twenty' Arena Tour began, BoA held a brief press conference at the Yokohama Arena. In the conference BoA talked about the tour and her upcoming Korean album.
Arena TourBoA said this year's tour was her most extravagant tour yet, with an emphasis on special effects and visuals rather than on her vocals only.
When asked about her first concert of this year's tour, she recalled that one of her ear monitors fell out of her ear while she was on a conveyer belt. "That is the beauty of first concert," said BoA jokingly.
6th Korean AlbumShe also dished out some information on her upcoming Korean album, which she will start working on in May.
Most notably, she said she hopes to write songs on her own for the new album. Though BoA has already written a number of songs in Japanese, she has never done so in Korean. Also, she said she would like to collaborate with rappers in Korea, as she has done with m-flo in Japan.
On the musical direction BoA will be taking, she said she would like to try house and lounge music. But the genre she likes the most is still ballads. "And of course, I will continue doing the dance songs as well," added BoA.
She also discussed her future Japanese works. "I've never collaborated with other artists in a ballad song, so it would be nice to work with an artist like Ken Hirai," said BoA when asked about the Japanese artist she wants to work with the most.
MiscellaneousOn being an adult, she confessed that she did not feel as healthy as she used to when she was a teenager. She said she takes vitamin and protein supplements regularly and also the Korean red ginseng that Lee Soo-Man bought for her. She also complained that people take her jokes too seriously nowadays.
BoA will continue traveling around major cities in Japan for the Arena Tour.
